In 1983, Sherwood Forest was licensed to Star Craft (makers of games such as Alien Rain, Alien Typhoon, Head On!, and many more) for a Japanese conversion. The final product sold a few hundred copies, and possibly more as a later re-release. The deal was to produce conversions of both Sherwood Forest and the then-upcoming Masquerade, which was also released by Star Craft in late 1985.
