A graphic adventure where the player, helped by the Gruds, an extraterrestrial race, seeks to bring a rare fuel to a spaceship stranded on Pluto. The game was developed on the Apple II and later ported to the C-64 and Atari. There are rumours of an MS-DOS port; this was never released and likely never completed (or even started).

Development of the game took approximately 6 months. From author Chuck Sommerville: "I had been a player of adventure games for a while. My first adventure games were the Scott Adams Avdentures from Adventure International, and I also played the adventure games from Sirius. Sirius had already published my first game [ed: Snake Byte]. Gruds in Space was written especially for them and features the company mascot, the Grud."

Gruds in Space was one of the last Sirius releases and only came in the box style of packaging.
